12 Days Classic Kenya Senior Citizens Safari

Upon arrival in Kenya, one of our representatives will be waiting for you at the exit terminal, holding a pager clearly displaying your name. After you have cleared Immigration and Customs, he will greet you and escort you on a short drive to your hotel in Nairobi, where you will relax and recover from jet lag while preparing for your classic Kenya safari the following day.

Your Kenyan safari begins with a comfortable morning departure from Nairobi Hotel at 7:30 am, heading north toward the beautiful Laikipia Plateau. Enjoy a scenic drive through Kenya’s lush highlands and rural countryside before arriving at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy a delicious lunch with views of the surrounding wilderness. In the afternoon, embark on a gentle introductory game drive in the conservancy, home to an impressive variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, and the last remaining Northern White Rhinos.

Start the day with a leisurely breakfast overlooking the African plains before setting out for a morning game drive.

You will also have the opportunity, at an additional cost to visit the Northern White Rhino Sanctuary, home to the only two remaining individuals in the world. This optional experience is truly rewarding and offers a rare and meaningful encounter. Najin and Fatu are the final two Northern White Rhinoceroses left on Earth. Najin is the mother and Fatu is her daughter. They live at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, where they are guarded around the clock by armed rangers to ensure their safety. Your guide will share fascinating stories about the incredible efforts being made to protect these majestic animals.

In the afternoon, visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where rescued chimpanzees are cared for. Learn about their inspiring rehabilitation story and the conservation work being done to protect these intelligent primates.

After breakfast, depart for the scenic journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the heart of Kenya’s famous Great Rift Valley.

Enjoy beautiful landscapes along the way before arriving at your lodge in time for lunch and check-in formalities. In the afternoon, set out for a relaxed game drive in this compact yet wildlife-rich park, famous for its rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions and large flocks of flamingos when conditions allow. Although the number of Flamingo has decreased significantly due to rising water levels caused by global warming.

After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most celebrated safari destination. The drive offers beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley landscapes and traditional Maasai villages along the way. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and some relaxation.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy your first exciting game drive in the vast plains of the Maasai Mara, home to the iconic African Big Five.

Today is dedicated to exploring the remarkable wildlife of the Maasai Mara. After breakfast, depart for a full-day safari experience, traveling across the golden savannah in your comfortable safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for excellent wildlife viewing.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sounds and sights of the African wilderness. Visit the famous Mara River, where the spectacular Great Migration river crossings occur between July and October, often referred to as the “8th Wonder of the Natural World.”

After breakfast, leave the Mara and travel toward the peaceful freshwater shores of Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch at your lakeside lodge, followed by a relaxing afternoon activity.

Enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you may spot hippos, fish eagles, and a variety of birdlife. Later, take a gentle guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you can walk safely among giraffes, zebras and antelopes in a truly unique experience.

After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, located near the Kenya-Tanzania border.

The drive takes you across changing landscapes before arriving in Amboseli in time for lunch and check-in at your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive across the park’s open plains, famous for its large herds of elephants and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Wake up to the fresh African morning and enjoy breakfast with views of the surrounding wilderness. Today you will explore Amboseli further with a full-day safari experience, offering incredible opportunities to observe elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and countless bird species.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the park, allowing you to spend more time immersed in this remarkable landscape. If the skies are clear, you will enjoy spectacular views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind the wildlife, one of Africa’s most iconic scenes.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing Amboseli. You will enjoy lunch at Emali and then proceed to Nairobi City. Arrive in the afternoon where you will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel-own arrangement, marking the end of a memorable and enriching Kenyan safari experience.

Today is your last day in Kenya. From your Nairobi hotel, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight back home. Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and ensure a smooth and timely transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
